Black Clover: Royal Capital Assault Arc

Hey there fam, once again here I am with another piece to make noise about. And today, we are back on that Black Clover action. Not long ago, I wrote about my first impressions on this show and that was based on the first 5 episodes. I knew I had a long way to go. Now I am almost 30 episodes in, which means I am done with the Royal Capital Assault Arc. I come bearing something sweet. IKUZOR.

For starters, there isn't much to this arc, a bunch of terrorist group attack the royal capital in search of a particular item. Before that, in the beginning we are introduced to some of the captains of the magic knights and some of the members of different squads and if we are being honest, it's not like I am going to know all those people but I just thought it was nice to let them be known. Now back to these terrorists, they are a group of people who call themselves “Eye Of The Midnight Sun” (which is actually a lame ass name if you ask me). They start off by dispersing themselves and attacking different parts of the city which makes the magic knights spread out and try to stop them. That's a text book terrorist attack. It is within this whole shebang, we are introduced to a character from the Crimson Lion, Leopold Vermilion. This boy is straight up the rich Dbee version of Asta-the main character. Whoever created this was like "let's make another Asta but richer" and they nailed it. I am looking forward to more of him and Asta. Also, why does everything have to be a rivalry in this show, can't two people be normal friends? I get it, everyone wants to be wizard king but there is too much rivalry for my consumption.

Still on the Vermilions and the Crimson Lions, we are also introduced to their captain and older brother of Leopold, Fuegoleon Vermilion (I know right, these names) who happens to be my second favorite captain but my nigga got dog walked too damn easily. One moment he was bossing everything and the next moment my guy is clinging on to dear life- like what the fuck? I know and I saw what happened but I still think it was too easy. But all in all Leopold and his big bro Fuegoleon are cool people just because they are the only ones who were nice and acknowledged Asta on their first meeting. While we are on the nobles, we are not far off to talk about the actual king of the Clover kingdom. Just to be clear, there is the wizard king and then there is an actual king. To my understanding, the wizard king is the general commander of the magic knights army though he holds the second highest position in the kingdom. Back to the king, he is also introduced to us for the first time in this arc. There isn't much about him, only that he is a very very stupid king. At first I wanted to use “jerk” but I realized that wouldn't cut it. The guy is a straight up imbecile. Like your city is being attacked and all he's doing is eating and pressing breast. Basically. Very stupid.

Back to the fight with the terrorists, there were some fights I feel like Luck should have been there. Luck is also a magic knight and he is part of the Black Bulls squad with Asta and one of my favorite characters in the show. I say this because this boy likes to fight, like he literally wants to fight at any given chance. Hell, give this boy the opportunity and he will fight the wizard king unprovoked. For me, this whole set yearned for Luck to be present and it was a bummer  not seeing him. On the other hand, their other teammate and food lover Charmy showed up. One thing is for sure, I’m never messing with her food.

At the end of this arc, we get to see and have a feel of the strength of the Wizard King, Julius Novachrono (these names). My guy single handedly subdued these terrorists in an instant- until the leader of the terrorists appeared and saved them. But for those few minutes he was a god. Now when you look at such level of magic and power, makes you wonder, how the fuck is Asta supposed to get on such level let alone surpass it without any magic? I guess we shall see.

Lets link again fam.

Stay Weeb...
